Ok first things first...would like to thank anonymous for showing concern. Thanks! I shall try to keep that in mind. And what about stale air huh? *stares at auntie jas* Ah...life's been boring nowadays..cant blame me mah. Nothing exciting to update about so far.
Ok...talk about MI aka Millenium Institute. Previously known as Outram Institute but has now merged with Jurong Institute to form MI. Ah...orientation lasted 4 days...so sian. Shall try to give as much details as i can...
First day - reported to school...abit hesitant cuz i din know what i was expecting...MI isnt what i expected to be...I think the majority or at least in my view, the whole school is filled with malays. Sigh...I've never heard so much melayu flying around in my life before. Kinda distressing you know. Made me feel like quitting school. After some stupid ice breaker games...i went home and told my mom i wanted to quit school. Haha...
Second day - We went to toh tuck campus for orientation and had cca display. They wanted us to know that we are one big family. JOKE. Saw Zahier at toh tuck. Didn't occur to me that another of my friend might be at toh tuck. After that was seperated into orientation groups again with a mix of toh tuck and bartley campus. (In case you didn't know, im from bartley campus.) Went to classrooms to work on our flag and group cheer...made self introductions to the toh tuck ppl. We were supposed to come up with a strategy for the obstacle course. Well all i can say is that toh tuck seems better as it has 5 stalls...as oppose to the one canteen stall in bartley. Bleah.
Third day - Skipped school as i heard they had hair checks.
Fourth day - Didnt manage to avoid a 2nd round of checks. Mr Amir called me and asked why my hair is so brown. Ah well...told him i swam too much. Even the excuse sounded lame to my own ears. He told me not to kid with him and tell the truth. Didn't know what to do. So i just stood there and shrugged to whatever he said. When i told him i wanted to quit school, he asked me what i wanted to do at home? Smoke cigarettes? Thus brings me to the conclusion that most of the teachers at toh tuck, or at least those that i met, are jokers. Promised him I'll go dye my hair to black. Sigh...
Today - Saw Mr Amir...now he's not happy with my hair length...had to see him again on monday to show that i cut my hair already. Ay...im really running out of money. Lack of cash flow...sigh i miss my working days when at least i have income to fall back on. Had my first PE lesson today...kinda resembles a commando training camp with all the push ups and leg lifts and stuff. And the teachers claim they're just whipping us back into shape. I kinda doubt it though...like they tekan us liddat. After that we had mass lectures...lots of people were enthusiastically taking down notes. I wonder how long will this enthusiasim last. Sigh...they've yet to seperate us into classes. So i think we're going to have mass lectures for the next few days next week too. Bleah.
Overall...i think its quite a pleasant place...i should be able to survive for one year here. Hopefully. And pray best i get at least 2 distinctions when i retake.
