Currently Listening To: Speed Of Sound - ColdplayOk for the people reading my blog, hopefully THOSE people going for the chalet will see this notice. The chalet this coming Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday (that means tomorrow, the day after tomorrow and the following day) will be at Tanah Merah Safra Resort, which is what the public generally knows the chalet as. In fact, the actual name of the resort would be...*drumroll*
National Service Resort & Country Club. National Service Resort & Country Club. National Service Resort & Country Club. National Service Resort & Country Club. National Service Resort & Country Club.
You get the idea.
Well for those that want to save money and take public transport there...I am(so not!) deeply regretful that there is
NO public buses that goes to anywhere near the chalet. Either you take a cab from tanah merah mrt station, which will cost you about $4 or less(if my memory serves me correctly...) or you catch the shuttle bus from the mrt station. Leave exit A, which is to your left and catch the bus at the taxi stand which is beside the bus stop. Here's the schedule. I've got to say, that the schedule kind of sucks though...

If you do not want to stay overnight, Im afraid to say that the last shuttle bus FROM the chalet to tanah merah mrt station will leave by 10pm, which is a little too early in my opinion, but I dont operate the bus company, so too bad. No worries though, for you can always try to hitch a ride from cars leaving the chalet and ask them to drop you at tanah merah mrt where you can then take the public transport home. It is generally easy, and if you're too shy to flag a car and ask, I'll do it for you.
We're at house 34, so look at this map, familiarize yourself and hopefully you'll be able to find your way there without needing to call anyone to bug them to bring you there. Nah, just joking. Feel free to call either sk, or sk, or sk. He'll be available.
We hope to see you there again, and as mentioned before, its Sk's belated birthday chalet but more importantly, the final gathering of the original cast(almost!) of B4 from the class of 2004 before we really go our separate ways.
Cheers.

Currently Listening To: Acquiesce - OasisToday was the first day for the collection of the Standard Chartered Marathon Race Package. Surprisingly although one of the volunteers told us the queue would take close to a hour due to the amount of people, it was more like just a mere 35minutes of queuing. There were about 12 counters serving the 10km queue, and probably that explains why the queue moved along so quickly.
Went for lunch at sakae for the second time in 2 days, at the same branch in marina square. Had ala carte this time, and I decided to eat cheaply, settling for just a teriyaki chicken don.
I caught my first movie after the As; Battle of Wits. Starring Andy Lau, its a show that depicts how jealousy, arrogance, pride, can cause the downfall of a kingdom. We should always, always, show gratitude to the one that helps us.
Poisonous are thy words. And likewise, poison takes hold of thy mind, twisting you inside out. Don't give in!

Anger that I have forgotten I could feel consumed me today. I felt like stabbing someone, or just picking a fight with some gangsters. I don't exactly know, but I was seeing red. I felt like killing. For once, I almost lost control.
I didnt have a knife. If not I would have really stabbed someone.
-
Circumstances dictated this. I couldn't adapt, and ended up this way. Its pretty much futile to try and tell me what I should do, because I already gave that lecture to myself. As I said, it doesn't matter anymore.
The only thing more painful than getting hurt is...giving up on tomorrow and lying to yourself.
I write my sorrows on the sand and let the waves wash them away.-
A mere whisper of a hope remains. Nothing more, nothing less.
Currently Listening To: Believing - The CallingHappy 18th Agnes!Brief shopping session. Sakae Sushi. Bedok Fengshan 85. Just got home. Sent out remaining chalet invitations. Damn tired.
Hahaha...I can finally start relaxing again. For the past 2 months, it was like studying nonstop...being in the cold school with no one after 2pm.. Now that there's no more papers to look forward to...its just sleep...stoning...and bumming around.
I have a list of things to accomplish!
Go for alumni.
Cycle with friends to jalan kayu for prata.
Play WoW.
Sleep for more than 12hours straight. My body clock's still in exam mode. I'm waking up at 7.30am every day.
Probably get some job.

Currently Listening To: I'm Gonna Find Another You - John MayerThis might sound weird...but somehow during the night I managed to stretch a muscle in my ankle. I woke up with this bad pain and my ankle felt like I twisted it accidentally.
Its ends, starting from 5pm. To think I was looking forward to this week about 8weeks ago, and now that its here, I've really lost my initial purpose of waiting for it. And from now, I'll have to find something to do, a new purpose in life.
Worries over the results will come soon; God knows my prayers, and maybe he'll grant one of them.

On the path, on a search. A search for vestiges of lost memories somewhere at the other end of the sky.

Currently Listening To: How Come - James MorrisonI'm sick, down with flu and a slight fever. During the SEA history paper today, I was already sneezing away and used up 2 packets of tissue. I lost my appetite for lunch after that, due to my urge of vomitting, the occasional sneezing and till now I'm still feeling nauseasous. I cant vomit though. I would only have gastric juices to puke and that would be bad for my intestines.

I lost something extremely important today. I don't know how I did it, but I only realised it after it was gone. The magnitude of it didnt really sink in till I reached home; The value of this thing could not be measured in monetary terms, and the fact that it could never be retrieved made me feel like crying.
I lost something valuable to me today. The emptiness that fills me now after losing it is scary. I don't want to think about the comforting statements that Sk and ailing offered. Its just that Im not in a position to be able to stand losing these things yet.
Maybe I'll get stronger.

Daily Horoscope:
The only thing constant in your life today will be change.
How weird does that sound? Its more like common knowledge. One thing I've learnt about horoscopes though. Its very similar to literature; its open to your personal interpretation and how you fit it in with your warped mindset.

Trudging down that path to the twisted kingdom.
It's Friday. You have a 7 p.m. date scheduled with someone you've had your eye on for a while—he's smart, good-looking, and funny. Just for kicks, you visit a fortune-teller for the inside scoop on your future with this guy. At first, the seer's words lull you into what feels like eternal bliss: this date has great potential.
But she doesn't stop there, and your steadily growing excitement is suddenly crushed like that scary bug you saw on the bathroom floor the night before. Apparently, after two years of relationship paradise, something will shift. Eventually, you will go your separate ways. Your once fluttering heart drops like a stone through your body.
Unfortunately for many singles, if someone could give us a damage/risk assessment for every possible date, we'd probably choose to remain at home alone in front of the TV instead of going out with anyone. Lurking behind the innocent question "Do you want to go for coffee?" lies the hope that this date will turn out to be a soul mate, that you will be compatible, and that you will build a future together.
Dating has spiritual value Our culture's obsession with marriage only furthers the idea that dating should be for the sake of marriage. This view of dating can easily make us forget that dating has spiritual value in and of itself. We need to stop focusing on its potential for marriage and accept its temporary nature. Dating can help us to grow spiritually -- if we allow it to.
While it is not quite friendship and not quite marriage, dating shares similar qualities with both types of relationships. Through all of these relationships we learn about other people, and in turn about ourselves, who we are, what we like and dislike, and what it means to be in a good or not-so-good relationship.
The spark of intimacy that turns a dinner with a friend into a date is the same spark that holds the seeds of spiritual possibility.
Divine intimacy
Countless theologians and spiritual figures understand setting out on a spiritual path as waking up to the possibility of divine intimacy, an experience “sparked” in much the same way our interest in dating another person begins. Upon discovering God, Methodism founder John Wesley described his heart as strangely warmed, Catholic theologian Bernard Lonergan talked of suddenly falling in love and seeing the world anew, and the Persian poet Kahlil Gibran, urges that "when love beckons to you, follow him." Hafiz, the fourteenth-century Sufi master and poet, described loving God as if a game of tag. In playing, God flirtatiously tags us as "It."As with divine love, going out on a date is like an invitation to mystery
As with divine love, going out on a date is like an invitation to mystery: the mystery being both the other person, as well as the depths within ourselves we have yet to discover. Dating encourages us to take leaps of faith into the unknown, to invest ourselves, even for a short time, in the idea of a relationship, in opening ourselves up to someone new, and in presenting ourselves in our best form.
There's no denying that heartbreak is part of the deal, as it is with any relationship -- marital, friendly, and even divine. No relationship comes with a guarantee, not even a godly one. A broken heart is not an indication that God is punishing us; it is the very human experience of knowing that we have loved, an experience foundational to spiritual growth, one that can lead to a deepening relationship with the divine, and a growing understanding within ourselves of what it means to love another.
Forget the need to know the futureIf we allow it to, dating can encourage self-transcendence, asking of us that we forget the constant need to know the future, encouraging us instead to see another person as an end in themselves. Our contemporary dating sensibilities too often make us forget about the person before us in favor of the aisle we hope to walk down some time in the future. Rather than seeing our date as a person worth at least an hour of conversation, we instead subject them to our respective checklists and interview them as a means to another end: for the job as our future mate, forgetting the tried and true religious teaching of treating someone else as we would wish to be treated, as worthy of an investment of our time.
So, when 7 p.m. rolls around and your date comes by, reconsider your approach to the man or woman knocking on the door. We would do well to take the advice of that fourteenth century Sufi poet, and bask in the idea that at least for the night, we've been tagged as "It." We are free to learn, share, and grow, whether it lasts the evening, or a lifetime.

Haha...somehow its very interesting...
Currently Listening To: Homecoming - GreendayDamn envious of those that already finished their As. People like kokhoe, addi, they're already in the midst of their holidays... The thing made worse is that they've ended like last week, and probably attended last alumni on sat, and yet I still have got 2 more papers to go and 6 hours of exam time. At least I've got other uni friends to look at because their exams only begin on next sat and ends in december 8th. There are people worse than me!
Im looking forward to finishing up these last 2 papers and then I can go throw myself onto my bed and sleep for more than 12 hours. Thats the aim terrance!
12 hours of sleep here I come!

Currently Listening To: Chocolate - Snow PatrolWait till I tell you about today. Its unbelievable.
I was damn lazy to buy bus concession for my ezlink myself, so i swapped cards with my sis so she could do it for me as she would be taking the train, and I used her card to get to school. The first incredible thing happened.
1) Getting ready to leave home, I started up my ipod to realise it had 0 songs in it. ZERO. I realised I must have done something to it and somehow the whole hard disk got wiped clean. Had to go plug it back in, reformat it back to factory settings and then load songs into it again, which meant I left home later.
Went to serangoon's s11 for lunch with dom, talked awhile, joked and then took the bus back to school...and thats when the second incredible thing happened.
2) The bus inspector came up the bus, and started checking the ezlink cards. And when she came to me, she looked at the card(with my sister's face on it and all) and asked "is this you?" and I was like "er....its my sis's.". You know what she did? She confiscated the card. And I was still in shock because I didnt know how to explain to my sis how I lost her card...but she took it quite well when I smsed her. I thought she would like blast me or something.
So while walking to school from the back, and when me and dom reached the overhead bridge and with the shelter and all, the third incredible thing happened.
3) It started to rain heavily. And we were stranded at the bridge.
I cant believe it.
Ok...for the econs paper 1 and paper 2. I finished my MCQ in 20mins and DRQ and CS with 30mins to spare can? All the people please separate into my left and my right. My left can kowtow to me while my right can give me a standing ovation. I am the economics pro, can?
Economics = Fail.
-
Ha...on the way to serangoon in the bus, I suddenly felt damn tired. Its the feeling which made me feel like I've pushed myself beyond what my body could take, and I practically could feel my energy level drop.
Once all these is over, I'm going to get a good night's sleep!
12hours is the goal.

Currently Listening To: I Get A Kick Out Of You - Jamie CullumI realised in times of crisis, like in the midst of the A levels, is where religion really comes in helpful. Talking to the Lord does tend to relieve some tension. Handing things over to him means I dont have to think too much about it. Ahaha oh dear. I'm starting to sound irresponsible.
Man, only does the fear set in now.

I am learning to cope with the loneliness...finally.
Currently Listening To: The Life of David Gale - Jake ParkerDidnt know chU actually shows anime at this time...its so interesting. You know its been such a long time since i sat beside on my bed beside the window and absorbing the sounds of the night. It is quiet generally, and feels peaceful.
2 weeks left. Deep down I know, I've failed to accomplish what I've decided to stay in MI to do. To do the best and get a good A level cert. I should have left last year when I had a chance, when I was offered another place. Staying in MI, forging new friendships, laughing, joking, lessons learnt in so many aspects of life wouldnt help me next time when I need to get into uni.
This chapter of my life is drawing to a close already...although I've been bitching about how life sucks when I entered MI, 2006 has truely been the highlight of my journey here, and it has been a good year.

Currently Listening To: Stigmatized - The CallingWhat is your deepest fear?
-
School was dead quiet today. All i could see was the auntie clearing stuff from the staff room(haha that rhymes!) and in the late afternoon, it started raining and made the whole place so dreary looking. I walked around the school, something which I've been doing quite often, stepping on water puddles on purpose, thinking, consolidating, trying to will myself to not be frightened. Yet the coldness of the atmosphere and the lack of human presence just made me feel...afraid.

Ay...sometimes, some things dont go according to our wishes, according to plan. Yet however, if we could just take it in stride, and hope that somehow, somewhere in the future they'll fix themselves, we'll be able to live life far better than what we put ourselves through otherwise.
-
Ya right. I can give that advice, and I wouldnt be able to take it.

Currently Listening To: Only For So Long - DishwallaI sort of shared a table with this american guy today at Burger King. His name is Neil, he's 76, and somehow, we got around to chatting. This was at the airport, and at the end of the conversation, I more or less learned a few general things. He couldnt quite understand me at times, maybe because he's just not used to the local accent.
I saw julius and malorie studying together at Mac. The amazing thing was we were studying in the same place for about 3 hours without realising that the other person was there. It was only about 7 when I gave up on trying to study due to my migraine increasing in its intensity and was packing my bag when I saw both of them behind me. We talked for awhile, about the GP paper, and then I left for home.
I find that if I could just blank out and not focus on the train, buses, eating alone...wherever. Although it would mean practically being on 'sleep' mode, at least I wouldnt have to run issues I have through my mind, pondering, analyzing it, then getting upset for nothing.

Currently Listening To: Indefinitely - TravisHelp.
I lost something a while back. Its not material, but more like ephemeral and as transient as things like that come along. A twinkling of a star, yet felt as though as it lasted an eternity.
I've been looking for it ever since I lost it, but there isnt any progress. Being caught up with my exams, I couldnt put as much effort as I would like into this. They always say your academic results is more important than any other thing.
I cant decide which is more important. But what I've lost meant more to me than anything else I've ever had.
