The story goes that some time ago a man punished his 5 year old daughter for wasting a roll of expensive gold wrapping paper. Money was tight and he
became even more upset when the child pasted the gold paper so as to
decorate a box to put under the Christmas tree.
Nevertheless, the little girl brought the gift box to her father the next morning and said, "This is for you, Daddy." The father was embarrassed by his earlier over reaction, but his anger flared again when he found the box was empty. He spoke to her in a harsh manner, "Don't you know, young lady, when you give someone a present there's supposed to be something inside the
package?"
T h e little girl looked up at him with tears in her eyes and said,"Oh,
Daddy, it's not empty. I blew kisses into it until it was full." The father was crushed. He fell on his knees and put his arms around his little girl, and he begged her to forgive him for his unnecessary anger.
An accident took the l ife of the child only a short time later and it is told that the father kept that gold box by his bed for all the years of his life. Whenever he was discouraged or faced difficult problems he would open the box and take out an imaginary kiss and remember the love of the child who had put it there.
In a very real sense, each of us, as human beings, have been given a golden box filled with unconditional love and kisses from our children, family, friends and God. There is no more precious possession anyone could hold.

so...elaborating on the old changi hospital thing...we walked around inside looking at the broken windows and stuff. Im surprised that i din see any vandalism inside and the paint looks relatively clean. And its the first time i heard the wind whisper too...eeriest place was probably the courtyard. You cant see anything except the outline of the trees against the sky and somehow i felt something was out in there i cant see...probably just the imagination though. Up and then the building we went...looking at the old wards. At some point inside sala and leon stopped because they heard something...and they said it was a machine sound. Well i heard a machine humming...something like when the electric generator sudden hums except it was much softer. Well as the building has been closed for like 10 years so there possibly cant be any electricity in the damn place which means no machine. I decided to go forward and take a look. Turns out it was another group of people making noises. Well it freaked us out though. Addison was muttering about nutters that did this kinda things at the wrong place haha. I heard the guys infront saw blood in one of the wards. Dunno whether its true or not since i din see it myself. Hmmm...
Finally headed back to the chalet...then went to watch soccer. Shall talk more about it later. Keep you guys in suspense haha -_^

Ok...so i shall talk about my adventures yesterday which will probably be the highlight of my june holidays which when u think about it and its quite sad actually. So...yar.
Went to stuart's chalet at Changi Village. It was some of the armed forces chalet and just a short walk to changi village. It was meant for the sajcband j1s bonding but since it was kok's bday, i was invited too. So we met at like 11 at pasir ris mrt station and went for lunch in delifrance after walking one round inside White Sands deciding (That place sucks i tell you) After that went to the chalet...played some daidee, watched scary movie 3. Lazed around till kok hoe came with the soccer ball and then we went down to the beach to play soccer. Actually the game was going on fine till deon took a freekick and the ball went into one of the drains and we couldnt get it out. In meantime while we were trying to get the ball out both liang shi and leon phones were stolen. Bleah...so we had to go back to the chalet. And some of the people were still watching another movie. Can you believe these people? Coming to chalets to watch movie. Sheesh. Oh well...i watched for awhile and decided to help stuart start the fire with the bbq. He wanted to start early as he was scared that we couldnt start the fire. Well it was only 4 at that time and plus me the pyromaniac we got the fire going in no time (I threw the whole matchbox in haha) Oh well...it was only 5 and i could see leon and huimin and gang playing volleyball down the beach. Got down to bbqing the hot dogs and chicken wings and stuff. And only addison and stuart was helping. With zhijian the fly buster and water boy we were doing fine. Just that i wasnt bbqing fast enough to keep up with the demands of the people watching tv inside the chalet. Demand and supply. Economics. HAHAH...
Ok...after that i got sick of bbqing and went down to play volleyball myself. Hahah was quite enjoyable...sas against combined school(the sajcians which werent from sas) We lost sadly though...addison was still shaking his head, not believing that we had lost.
Well by the time we finished it was like evening so we had to head back. Watched fear factor and after that ate some food again. This concludes adventure 1. HAha.
Ok next. The chalet we were at is quite near OCH which means Old Changi Hospital. Sala went round asking people whether they wanted to go and explore the place since its supposedly haunted. Seems like close to about 20 ppl went. Leading the group was sala and leon...after that was the girls...liang shi and bryan sim were with them in the middle. THen brandon and joey and amanda and finally bringing up the rear addison and me. The place was situated at a knoll and those that want to see pictures can go to the spi here
http://www.spi-world.com/spi/haunted/haunted_changi/och.htm well the place had a really sinister look and all we had we 2 torches. Addi's one kept flickering though...Well i had this nagging feeling that something was following us at the start but that feeling wore off. It was probably my imagination i guess. Shall add more in the next entry i think...too disturbed to talk about it. Anyway this entry's really long. Haha...adieu people.

Its getting hotter and hotter lately...sigh must've been hottest ever since last year. Heard of any heatwaves killing people lately? Sigh. Bon Voyage to xin jie as she left for taiwan for her holidays. Hmmm...saw the mgs gang again yesterday with yishen and all. Myra as usual is getting prettier...amanda and yishen getting more and more spastic. Magdalene with i supposed her angel. Those that play angel and mortal u know. Think he's sorta interested in her.
Have yet to start studying. Keep telling myself i got to start soon but i've yet to actually get down to start work. Just listening to songs and reading all day long. Bleah. Ah...something exciting. Euro 2004 is going to start tonight. At least it'll be something to look forward too. Portugal playing Greece for the opening game. My money's on Portugal...they might draw though. Hmmm...think i'll start serious studying next week. Probably ask seng kiat or somebody to accompany me. East siders anyone? Oh and people? Do take care of yourselves. Its easy to fall sick in this weather. I've been feeling quite feverish myself. I'll catch you guys around ^^
This is a really good song.
U2 - Its a beautiful day
The heart is a bloom
Shoots up through the stony ground
There's no room
No space to rent in this town
You're out of luck
And the reason that you had to care
The traffic is stuck
And you're not moving anywhere
You thought you'd found a friend
To take you out of this place
Someone you could lend a hand
In return for grace
It's a beautiful day
Sky falls, you feel like
It's a beautiful day
Don't let it get away
You're on the road
But you've got no destination
You're in the mud
In a maze of her imagination
You love this town
Even if that doesn't ring true
You've been all over
And it's been all over you
It's a beautiful day
Don't let it get away
It's a beautiful day
Touch me
Take me to that other place
Teach me love
I know I'm not a hopeless case
See the world in green and blue
See China, right in front of you
See the canyons broken by cloud
See the tuna fleets clearing the sea out
See the Bedouin fires at night
See the oil fields at first light
And see the bird with a leaf in her mouth
After the flood, all the colors came out
It was a beautiful day
Don't let it get away
Beautiful day
Touch me
Take me to that other place
Reach me
I know I'm not a hopeless case
What you don't have, you don't need it now
What you don't know, you can feel it somehow
What you don't have, you don't need it now
Don't need it now
It was a beautiful day

The Corrs - Summer Sunshine
I feel it's changing, I stay the same
I'm... a solo cello outside a chor-us
I've got a secret,
It's time for me to tell that you've been keeping me warm
Just sweet beginnings and bitter en-dings
In coffee city, we borrowed hea-ven
Don't give it back, I've never felt so wanted
Are you taking me home?
You tell me you have to go...
[chorus]
In the heat of summer sunshine
I miss you like nobody else
In the heat of summer sunshine
I kiss you, and nobody needs to know
Now that you've left me, there's no retur-ning
I keep comparing, you're always win-ning
I try to be strong but you'll never be more wanted
Will you make me at home?
Don't tell me you have to go...
[chorus]
In the heat of summer sunshine
I miss you like nobody else
In the heat of summer sunshine
I kiss you, and nobody needs to know
Ya da... ya da... ya da
To sweet beginnings and bitter en-dings
In coffee city, we borrowed hea-ven
Don't give it back
Winter is coming and I need to stay warm
The heat.....
[chorus]
In the heat of summer sunshine
I miss you like nobody else
In the heat of summer sunshine
I kiss you, and nobody knows
[chorus]
In the heat of summer sunshine
I miss you like nobody else
In the heat of summer sunshine
I kiss you, and nobody needs to know

Accurate to a certain extent...hmmm
This is freaky as HELL... DO NOT
CHEAT
(You'll kick yourself later) I was a little
skeptical trying this, but if you follow the
instructions to the "t" you'll be surprised!!!!
All of my answers were accurate. We'll see
tomorrow if the wish comes true. I'll let you
know. Take 3 minutes and try this...it will
freak you out! The person who sent it to me said
her wish came true 10 minutes after they read
the
mail. BUT NO CHEATING! This game has a
funny/spooky outcome.
Don't read ahead...just do it in order! It takes
about three minutes...it's worth a try :)
First..get a pen and paper. When you actually
choose names, make sure it's people you actually
know and go with your first instinct.
Scroll down one line at a time...and don't read
ahead or you'll ruin it!
1. First, write the numbers 1 through 11 in a
column.
2. Then, beside numbers 1 and 2, write down any
two numbers you want.
3. Beside the 3 and 7, write down the names of
members of the opposite sex.
NO LOOKING AHEAD...OR IT WON"T TURN OUT RIGHT!
4. Write anyone's name (like friends or
family....) in the 4th, 5th,
and 6th spots.
5. Write down four song titles in 8,9,10, and 11.
GO WITH YOUR INSTINCT PEOPLE!!!!
6. Finally, make a wish.
And now the key for the game.....
1. You must tell (the number in space 2) people
about this game.
2. The person in space 3 is the one that you
love.
3. The person in 7 is one you like but can't
work out.
4. You care most about the person you put in 4.
5. The person you name in number 5 is the one
who knows you very well.
6. The person you name in 6 is your lucky star.
7. The song in 8 is the song that matches with
the person in number 3.
8. The title in 9 is the song for the person in 7
9. The tenth space is the song that tells you
most about YOUR mind.
10. and 11 is the song telling you how you feel
about life
NOW...post this bulletin (dont reply) within the
hour... IF you do..
your wish will come true...
If you don't it will become the opposite
yikes! Lost my voice. *croaks*

Hoobastank - Pieces
Turn around and pick up the pieces
I, like a rock, sink
Sinking til I hit the bottom
The water is much deeper than I thought
Nothing to swim with
Kicking but I keep sinking
A lesson that no one could have ever taught
Cause I can almost breathe the air
Right beyond my fingertips
I'll turn around and pick up the pieces
One more push and I'll be there
Back where I belong
I'll turn around and pick up the pieces
I see the picture
Blurry but now it's in focus
A fairy tale I purchased on my own
I finally woke up
Everything is better
A chance for me to open up and grow
I can almost breathe the air
Right beyond my fingertips
I'll turn around and pick up the pieces
One more push and I'll be there
Back where I belong
I'll turn around and pick up the pieces
Suffocating sinking further almost everyday
Barely treading water knowing I will not give up
I will not give up
I will not give up
I can almost breathe the air
Right beyond my fingertips
I'll turn around and pick up the pieces
One more push and I'll be there
Back where I belong
I'll turn around and pick up the pieces
Turn around and pick up the pieces

Ever had your heart broken? Only people that have been in love will know what im talking about. Oh well...it feels really bad (who am i kidding?)
You really do have a knack of breaking my heart. Sigh...
There's a technical word to call people that get hysterical over nothing. They're called morons.
An evening with the saints was a blast :D Although i din prepare alot and sight read some pieces =x i think it was quite cool. Especially performing in esplanade. The atmosphere is electrifying. Hmmm...the various circles seats going up to 4 levels. And the unique design. I think its even better than playing at the sydney opera house. HAhah...im just loving it.
I think...i would like to play there again. Its cool. Even the backstage technicians. I was joking around with some of them. Lol.

Haiyah...so long never post le. Bleah, im just getting too lazy. What have I been up to recently? Well I've been practicing with sas for the upcoming concert, Saints in concert featuring St Andrew's, St Andrew's Junior College and Saints alumni. Well Im playing for both Sas and alumni. Sas needed players so they asked me to go back and play for them. Timpani again. HAhah but at least this concert i'll be finally playing some mallets. Rare isnt it? So you guys should all cherish it man. Haha kidding.
Oh well...went to bras basah to buy my chromatic pitchpipe. Just in time for the concert too so I can tune the timpani faster. Never did like electronic tuners in the first place. I still trust my good old trusty cromatic pitchpipe. Too bad it costed $27. Too expensive bleah. Im really excited about this concert since we're going to be playing at esplanade...hmm...besides meeting up with old friends. Ahh...
Not sure whether i will study much for my mid years anot. Feel like studying more for my Os. Oh well...sajc's still the dream. I have to work hard for it. As my friend once said, "Dun be too depressed, soon this year will pass quickly and it'll be over. So make good use of it." Dun worry I will. Been down...and xin jie abandoned me for her cip camp. Bleah...I'll be lonely u know?
Good luck for e concert. It will be a sucess. As always. Why? Cuz we are after all, SAS!
