Well today had a pretty slack day...i think the most relaxed day of this year thus far. Only had one serious lesson, econs and that was spent doing the tys and talking nonsense to dom and sk. Then after that was pe which was just running around the school twice then having house meeting. 2 periods of mother tongue where our teacher didnt come and i spent the time playing badminton...then 2 periods of gp which we had debate that though got heated as it went on, it was pretty fun too. 1 period of lit where the teacher didnt come too and we thus ended school at 1:30 today and ended up eating behind school cuz dom and sara had to take the psychological screening test to see whether they can actually be sane enough to go the south thailand which by the way has rebels trying to fight the government every other day. Came home, slept, woke up, watch tv, played dota and here i am now blogging. Sorry for the lack of paragraphing as im feeling lazy today. Adios.

So today...for one of the rare times i went back to school on a saturday for the sake of doing CIP. Wanted to skip it actually to go for my surgery but decided that couldnt just back out like that at the last moment so...yeap.
Anyway we went to ren ci hospital and i have a first hand experience at seeing those patients that you normally see on tv during the charity shows that singaporeans donate to generously I'm sure. Got around to talking to some of the patients there, or at least those that i could comprehend and erm...felt kinda bad that i could really communicate with them that well. Learnt a couple of things that i should have otherwise known if i sat down and thought about it.
After that the guys went to changi airport to eat and since i wanted to watch tv, went home straightaway after the thing instead of following them. Wanted to sleep in the afternoon but it was FUCKING hot and i cant seem to get a good sleep since the FUCKING heat seems to drain all energy and concentration.
The Greenhouse effect is really taking effect.

Ok now...let me tell you guys a bloody interesting story k? Here goes...
Once upon a time, there was a guy called T. He was a kinda happy go lucky guy and so screwed his O levels up by failing his maths. He then ended up in what is often called the dumping ground of MOE, Centralised Institute. Not being very happy with his results and also yearning to go to a respectable junior college, T decided to retake his Os.Throughout his time in the centralised institute, T made 2 very good friends, S and D. The 3 of them used to go out for movies almost every week and talked about almost everything under the sun. You could say that S and D made life in centralised institute bearable for T. T then went on to have 3 surrogate daughters, S, C and P. However in time to come, all 3 of them would leave the centralised institute. T then made a good friend, whom was known as A by went by the name of E. T called/made her his elder sister, whether purely out of T's idiocyncracies or affection's sake, we would never know. You could say that T told many things to E, and vice versa. Time went on, and T managed to get himself promoted to year 2 of centralised institute. During the november hols, T had about 1 month to study for his 3 Os subjects, emaths, science and history. D actually doubted T's ability to pass them as T went out with him almost everyday. Anyway suffice to say, T was able to pass his Os subjects fairly well although he missed by 1 point to get into the respectable junior college. T was devastated for a while...but soon got over it and applied for polytechnic. After getting a place in polytechnic, T had to make a tough decision to either stay or to leave for poly. It was a decision that would greatly alter T's future path in life, and he didnt want to make a wrong choice. For he knew if he did, he would live to regret it. Forever. Moreover, he had good friends he didnt really want to let go of, namely the S.A.I.D. and various others. Therefore, it was all the more harder for him to answer their questions.T knows that a decision has to be made, pronto, lest he falls into the abyss with no return. The above story is entirely fictional and any resemblance to real life characters are purely coincidental.

Maybe 10 years down i'll come to regret the decision that i will come to make in time now. Or maybe I'll be thankful that I made such a decision. A decision that will decidedly alter my life for better or for worse. Remembering one of the themes of the Return of the Native, fate and destiny. The future is too unreadable for us to try to take control of our own lives. Should i just sit back and follow the flow of fate or try to wrench control from fate herself.
Besides i find that the projects the teachers make us do in school is pretty lame and what they might perceive as the new creative way of learning encouraging "thinking out of the box" does not seem quite the same way to me. I am not amused by our formerly efficient and now i-dun-know-what-the-hell-are-they-doing Ministry of Education. I promise that if i ever become the minister for education i'll make some very radical changes indeed.
There seems to be something wrong with my keyboard and i hate it. And generally my usb ports. I want to get a new comp but lack the financial capabilities to do so. I hate being poor. Maybe poor is the wrong word to use. I hate not being rich enough. And i've come to realization that money drives the world around, no matter what certain religions say adversely about money, I still disagree.

Yesterday....decided at the last minute to cancel the outing to chomp chomp since there was already a few people who couldnt make it, and the thing would feel different without them, so anyway...i smsed all those whom i knew were going and told them the outing was cancelled. Anyway apparently, among the midst of distractions and all, we forgot to inform one person and he turned up there. He got pissed off and all according to Dom who said, "i've never heard him sound so angry before." Well...my apologies for deciding to cancel the thing at the last minute. I think i make a lousy organiser.
On cancelling the outing, went out for my haircut since my hair was getting quite long for my own liking since i hated to comb it, and then met dom after that. Went to suntec to have subway for dinner and went bowling after that. Ignatius decided to leave during the SSO concert during the interval since he deemed it "too boring" haha. I somehow knew that would happen. So for that night we played 3 games of bowling and a hour of pool and ended everything at 11:30pm. Luckily we all caught our respective public transports home haha.
Upon reaching home i discovered to my horror that i left my keys in dom's bag (at the time of bowling i left my wallet and keys in his bag.) So had to wake my mom up to open the door for me.
Anyway...well done sasmb for making the top 3 bands in singapore. Im extremely proud of you guys. You've improved and have exceeded all my expectations. Congrats! Esplanade at 19th july is what im looking forward to. Show the world what you're capable of.

Finally im trying to go back to old habits of posting regularly so as not to disappoint my readers (HA!) and also, whats the point of having a blog if you do not update it regularly? I realise that after all, blogging regularly might help marginally in improving my writing skills.
Anyway, took early leave from school today for sas was playing for syf in today in singapore conference hall. I've got to say that after hearing them, they've really improved beyond my expectations and really have the makings of one of the top bands in singapore. They got gold medal with honors by the way. Anyway, saw quite a few friends there that i didnt expect to see and it reminds me of how fast time has passed since my time in sa till now.
I left after sas played cuz i was a tad tired and still had to buy some stuffs so went to bugis to shop and eat. In the bus on the way home, i was seating right at the back seat. 2 stops before my home, this retarded kid (mentally challenged) came up and sat beside me. Well i suppose he was bored or something, but he took the sling bag of the guy sitting in the seat in front of him and placed it under the sleeping guy's seat while a mother, malay guy and me looked on. On my part i didnt stop him as i didnt want to attract attention to myself but i was just trying to make sure he wasnt going to steal anything. Im glad to say that the sleeping guy woke up and to his horror found his bag missing. Anyway he found it under his chair and not suspecting anything, went back to sleep. I've got to say that the retarded kid was a damn good actor acting innocent there. I thus conclude that retarded people are dangerous. Very.
As for my results for CTs, they werent that great considering that i didnt even really study for them. I dun really think i'll do well for As if i continue on with my ways and stay in MI.

Whoever doesnt wish to remain young all their lives and not having to grow up to face the stress of the real world. Its almost time...sooner or later my friends in school will know my decision. I've almost decided already. Its just that there are various strings here and there that i've yet to tie up. Well. Almost.
Went bowling with ISD and onesan. ISD referring to ignatius seng kiat and dominic. And we had some sort of adventure deciding where to go bowling although sengkiat suggested marina bay but apparently forgot all about it 2 seconds after he suggested that place and thought he said marina square. And it didnt only happen once, but 3 times! Had a relatively good time bowling although the catholic high people who were beside were intimidating us with their constant strikes and spares. Not to mention that they were way younger than us =X
Then played 2 games of pool with ignatius at the pool table, those where you have to pay 2 bucks for one game. It was better than my bowling but far too expensive.
Then sort of like went to hunt for my comics at bugis with onesan, but it turns out that kino has yet to restocked, and looks like i've gotta check back next week again. Anyway, we went for dinner and i wanted to buy chocolate eclairs and for the second time running (first time with dom) they were sold out again -_-"
After dinner, went to the mrt station thinking that i could take the train home, but realised that it was around 7:45pm, there were still rush hour crowds (i dun really take the train at this time from bugis cuz i usually take bus home) and the train was packed like sardines in a can. So onesan and i decided to take the train down to raffles place to switch there since there the train would be relatively emptier and we would feel less claustrophobic.
Haha but unexpectedly, we decided to go window shopping (or rather me) at suntec and also to look at the pencil shavings on display at citi link mall where there's this area where there are art pieces display (just behind the adidas shop on your way to esplanade) Anyway finally got my replacement towel (ask me some other time whatever happened to my first towel) and did some window shopping. Onesan found her I love tokyo shoes but just only that the lettering and the sole were the wrong colors so she didnt buy it. As for me, i've yet to see a pair of shoes that i really liked yet.
Talked about alot of stupid stuff, and after onesan got onto the bus, think i spoilt my shuffle cuz i accidentally dropped it. Everything sounds echo-ey now and i feel giddy when listening to my mp3s. Sigh =(

The Catholic world mourns the passing of their 264th pope, the Pope John Paul II, after his 24 year reign over the catholic world. A man known to have helped topple communism in Europe, John Paul was well loved among the catholic community all over the world.
A man who had lived under both the Nazis and the Soviets, he loathed totalitarianism, which he called "substitute religion." As pope, he helped foster Poland's Solidarity movement and bring down Communism. Once it was vanquished, he decried capitalist callousness.
During World War II, he appeared on a Nazi blacklist in 1944 for his activities in a Christian democratic underground in Poland. B'nai B'rith and other organizations testified that he helped Jews find refuge from the Nazis.
While the pope championed better relations with Jews — Christianity's "older brothers," as he put it — the Vatican formally recognized Israel in 1993. He also met with Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat and urged the Holy Land's warring neighbors to reconcile.
John Paul was intent on improving relations with Muslims. On a trip to Damascus, Syria, in May 2001, he became the first pope to step into a mosque.
The 264th pope also battled what he called a "culture of death" in modern society. It made him a hero to those who saw him as their rock in a degenerating world, and a foe to those who felt he was holding back social enlightenment.
And so on and so forth. The above was edited by me and information taken from Associated Press.
My condolences.
