Hey hey! Im feeling slightly more positive now after looking through sk's website and his pictures depicting life in MI. As you people know, pictures say a thousand words =)
Lets see...i'll just do a recap on yesterday's outing at sentosa organised by Camp High Achievers (also known as Camp HA) to build better bonds between classmates and the schoolmates from toh tuck. I've done a search on the net for Camp HA and found that they have many other satisfied customers like the CNB (central narcotics bureau) SMRT and various other companies and schools yada yada yada.
Firstly, we were split into 2 major groups, A and B. Since bartley had only 4 classes, 2 classes each were put in the 2 major groups respectively. In group B, the first thing we had to do is the sandcastle fiesta thing, and we had to seperate into further groups of around 9 i think to do challenges first. Winning this challenge allowed us to earn "money" to buy equipment for the sandcastle building competition later on. Apparently though, the disparity of the top prize and the rest of the prize is only 50 bucks and given that the lowest given out is 800, i dun see much point in doing this since the advantage is only that slight. I've got to mention though, that one of the instructors was an eye catcher.
Anyway, after the long sandcastle fiesta, we had to go back to our own classes to form a team to play the next game, which was the amazing race around sentosa. I've thus come to the conclusion that without the need to act (me and dom were planning to act out scenes where the couples flare up from the amazing race on tv) tempers were already flaring from within the group due the competitive nature of certain classmates.
This camp was supposed to instill a sense of bonding with our classmates and schoolmates and teach us how to have more teamwork spirit. Honestly, I dun know...it didnt work that well for me. After that about half the class went to bugis to eat (sh, sara, vat, chewy, sk, dom, michelle, manwinder, mark and me) and i think this dinner together bonded us more than the camp.
Sometimes its not the destination that matters, but how you get there that matters.
